This error usually occurs during license activation of REDtoolbox.
Error 1002 means that there something between the software and the server, not one of them specifically. Therefore, it could be a proxy setting (very likely), antivirus, network limits, unstable connection, etc.
We at REDcatch have a valid certificate, but it may not match the requirements of your local settings and is therefore untrusted. Name mismatches and incorrect system times on your side maybe other reasons to keep in mind. VPN tunnels do not help either....
What to do:
1) You can try using a different network, for example, a mobile hotspot. That may work.
2) Try activating REDtoolbox in Windows command line:
- Start Windows CommandLine (cmd.exe)
- Navigate to REDtoolbox installation folder:
cd %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\REDtoolbox\resources\assets\REDtoolboxCLI - Run the activation by typing in:
REDtoolboxCLI.exe activate-software
