6 Lever Arm correction

The lever arm (GPS Offset) defines the offset / distance from the phase centre of the antenna (APC) to the centre of the camera sensor.


1. Where is the APC?

The following graphic illustrates the position of the Antenna Phase Centre APC relative to to central pin of the hot shoe.

The APC is (almost) in the centre of the helical antenna.

3. An example.

Please do not use these values. They won't fit to your camera set up.



 

4. REDtoolbox – Leverarm values


Start REDtoolbox, choose "Settings" > "Settings" and enter “Edit Advanced Settings File”


 


Enter the values measured for your camera set up in the text file of to the REDtoolbox:

 

SAVE (overwrite) the file and close it.

Once you start "PPK and geotagging" in REDtoolbox with device 3D ImageVector, these values are respected.
