PAIR your Android phone to hardware
Before App can access external Bluetooth GNSS device, you have to PAIR the hardware with you Android phone.
Android will remember the device afterwards.
Please note: PAIR is not "connect". Pairing is like "getting know each other".
The required steps differ between the Android version, but you should follow this scheme:
- Power on the RTK device
- Enable the Bluetooth connection on your Smartphone
- Open Bluetooth Settings in Android Settings
- You may have to “search” for Bluetooth devices. When searching for devices, you may see only the MAC address, but once paired the name will updated.
- Password is usually 1234 or 9999 for others.
Select the BT-device in RTKcamera App
Once paired, select your device from “Device List”.
If you have trouble finding your Device press “Search for Device” and it should show up among your selections.
Troubleshooting
Can't connect to device:
Bluetooth is a very sensitve technology with limits in connecting and disconnecting by vairouse Apps and Tools. If you do this too often without waiting couple of seconds, the bluetooth board may get stucked. In this case, please de-power and re-power your external antenna. This usually puts the Bluetooth device usually into "ready to connect" state again.
